MEET The Band

The Bierkeller Schunklers Bavarian Band was formed over 25 years ago by Klein Wilhelme who has been ‘forwards and backwards…’ here, there and everywhere with the band ever since. Also known as ‘Little Willy,’ Wilhelme is a direct descendant of the Von Krapp family and is responsible for bringing some of the world’s most unique performers to the stage. He has trained all members of the band extensively, but alas, there is no hope. A very entertaining act nevertheless.

The Bierkeller Schunklers Bavarian Band is a German Oktoberfest Oompah band like no other, and our artists have an extensive array of talents and skills, which means that our act and performance can be tailored to many different types of events.

We can accommodate most budgets by changing the size of the band, from solo up to an 8-piece band.

"Wow – what an unforgettable experience! The Bierkeller German Oompah Band absolutely brought the house (or should we say, tent!) down at our family festival this year. From the moment they struck up their first rousing tune, the atmosphere shifted – toes tapping, pints raised, and smiles spreading across the crowd.

This wasn’t just music – it was a full-on, high-energy, laugh-out-loud show! With hilarious audience participation, traditional Bavarian banter, and cheeky surprises around every corner, they had every generation engaged – from toddlers clapping along to grandparents swaying with steins in hand.

The highlight? A gigantic, snaking conga line that twisted through the entire festival field! We lost count of how many people joined in, but it felt like half the site was dancing together, strangers becoming friends with every silly step. And when the whole crowd swayed in unison to a heartfelt chorus, it was one of those magical moments you hope for as an organiser.

They were professional, punctual, and an absolute dream to work with behind the scenes – but on stage? Pure joy. The kind of entertainment that brings a community together and leaves everyone grinning (and maybe a little hoarse from all the singing!).
